Cranial Sacral

Cranial Sacral works with the cerebral spinal fluid and the central nervous system to improve the horses motility and internal function.

Cranial Sacral is a non-invasive modality that is soft in nature and allows the horses body to return to their natural and optimum selves.

This modality works with organ function, blood flow, nerve impingements and diaphragm spasms.

I have training in CST 1, 2, and 3 from Integrated Equine Therapies. I also have training in the Equine Sports Massage Program: Equissage. And will continue with Osteopathy courses spring 2022.

I add cold laser therapy, red light therapy and taping to my sessions as needed.

Light therapy is becoming increasingly popular.

Cold Laser Therapy is very effective in treating the following:

  • Soft Tissue Injuries

  • Arthritis

  • Tendon and Ligament Tears

  • Joint Conditions

  • Neurologic Injuries

  • Suspensory tears (soft tissue injury)

  • Stifle Injury

  • Sesamoiditis

  • Laminitis

  • Degenerative Joint Disease

  • SI Pain

  • Tying Up

  • Kissing Spine

  • Superficial Flexor Tendon

  • Capped Elbow

  • Wounds and more

** I have two types of cold lasers, one is a larger and more powerful laser with multiple settings. Another is a cordless, more portable laser.

Red Light Therapy helps with:

  • Reduce pain and swelling

  • Increase lymphatic activity

  • Strengthen the immune system

  • Accelerate cell regeneration

  • Increase circulation

  • Relaxe muscles

  • Increase anti-viral properties

  • Encourage collagen production

  • Regulate serotonin levels

Treating tissue and fascia can have huge implications for the horses overall wellbeing. Fascia is linked to the nervous system and can have emotional withholdings. Using my hands and certain tools to release pressure, inflammation and tension in the body can help to restore optimum movement.

Acupressure is an ancient application used to help and heal the body. Instead of using needles like in an acupuncture treatment, I use light on acupressure points to achieve a similar outcome.

Sure Foot Equine System is a great way to help your horse with postural balance. Many times we find our horses are symmetric. This might mean that their feet are not balance correctly. one leg can even be slightly longe than the other. Horses are also not all made equal. Some lack certain conformational needs that help with balance. This padded system allows for relief as well as balancing for your equine partner.
